Chances

First of all, I’d just like to say that Kenny G’s Forever In Love is damn psychedelic.  It’s DOPE!  I keep on repeating this track.  If you don’t want to lose your concentration on what you’re currently doing, then I don’t recommend this song.  I really feel like I’m flying like a free eagle whenever I listen to this melodious jazz music aside from sweetly dancing with my classy-looking high school crush who just graduated from UP Diliman with an Architecture degree.  Well, congratulations to her.  Sadly, we have NOT really kept in touch to each other since I was in my 2nd year college.  It’s been a long time, I know.  I don’t have her contact details anymore (I suppose she already changed her number) and I just found out that she already graduated through her Multiply account.  It’s really a long and winding story why I decided not to give her a private message or even a single comment on her Multiply.  But in a nutshell, I had my chance, I just didn’t take it.  Most probably, she wouldn’t like it when, all of a sudden, I surface again into her life like an annoying porn pop-up that appears on a computer screen whenever I surf the Net.  Ooops.

Many people say that second chances in life are rare but for me, they don’t exist at all or do they haha?  Now that I let that out of my system, it’s blogging time haha.  I’d really love to tell a more detailed story about her but she might discover my blog.  I mean, after all, I found out her Multiply account through Google and she might do the same thing to me haha.  No one knows right haha?  But let me go back to that seemingly confident statement when I said that I had my chance but I just didn’t take it.  I mean, come on, did I really have a CHANCE with her?  That’s actually the big question haha.  To begin with, what’s the real meaning of chance?  It certainly does NOT mean that if I did take it, then we could’ve been together.  I honestly don’t mean that way.  It’s not the real meaning of chance, it’s absolute cockiness.  I may be smug most of the time but when it comes to girls, I’m unassuming haha.

Perhaps, many girls would say that if they had a choice, they would have chosen to be born a guy than to be a gal.  Simply because, at the outset, it’s way easier to be a guy than to be a gal in almost every aspect.  To be completely honest, I find it hard to believe especially in the aspect of courtship haha.  I believe that God created a man and a woman equally.  So it’s not fair to even compare a man and a woman ’cause God has always been fair.  A guy’s natural role is equally laborious.

One of the universal truths is that a single guy is on a thrilling and seemingly endless chase until he finds the suitable one.  The one who could fill his emptiness inside.  By the way, was that a song?  Anyway, I find it quite funny when girls view this damn guy’s chase as a bad thing haha.  I have to say that it is MORE than just a pursuit driven by sexual appetite.  It’s ordinarily a guy’s role.  It’s a guy’s role to chase or to take his chances, definitely considering the sacrifices involved, until he finds the right gal for him.  It’s just like a guy was given money in perpetuity solely to buy lottery tickets assuring that one day he’ll hit the biggest jackpot of his life.  Well, in my modest opinion, that’s the real meaning of chance.  It certainly does NOT mean that if I buy one lottery ticket, I will hit the jackpot right away.  I honestly don’t mean that way.  There is nothing to lose, it is just for a meager sum, a meager sacrifice.  But if the losses are accumulated, it could really be frustrating.  With the almost ideal girl I was talking about, the combination had long been drawn and I was too damn cynical to even line up at the ticket booth. One very lucky guy, perhaps, already won her.

I used to love Kenny G’s “Forever in Love” and the “The Moment” too. But some sad memories are associated to.

did you really had your chance? haha… well I did witness that. and you were right about second chance, not everyone are given one. But in your case, its a bit different, the ticket was already been drawn , you already have the ticket along time ago, you just don’t want to claim it… ^_^. forget about the annoying popups, just shoot her a message for you to know if someone already did claim the price. who knows. hahaha
